The habit of documenting my life in collage, pictures, and writing, has roots in my Freshman year of high school. Where else could I find inspiration, but in what I LIVE IN.

Having begun on my 39th Birthday, December 11, 2006, and ending on my 40th Birthday in 2007, I will have taken a photo, video bit, posted in a blog, sketched and wrote in a journal everyday (although, I'm human and "everyday" didn't happen sometimes).

I have also collected random bits over the year (ticket stubs, potato chip bags, and 25 cent toys, et al).

Most of the project is on-line (click on icons) and the remaining bits will be in the third issue of my 'zine, "Life As Art". I also plan on having a solo show for my "Project 39", if anyone, ANYONE, is interested!

This has been an empowering project and has truly honed my skills of observation and documentation, that I'm planning on starting a new project entitled, "Project 40". All of a sudden, being "40" is inspiring.
